For AM-1400LC and AM-1600M installations, the product kit (PDB-00436-25) includes

special drive mounting brackets that must be used in order to mount this drive. These

brackets (DWF-20533-00) are drilled to match the mounting holes on the Maxtor drive.

The brackets are held in place with two phillips head screws inserted through the

chassis bottom.

SCSI disk drives used in AMOS 680X0 based computers must be installed with the

drive’s signal ground isolated from the computer’s chassis ground. Before installing

your new disk drive, see Section 10 (in this document) dealing with drive isolation in

AMOS based products.
